Aurora Industrial Machining is a customer-oriented manufacturer of custom designed ASME/TEMA shell & tube heat exchangers. Established in 1975, our engineering and sales personnel have over 30 years of technical experience in application rating and designing of shell & tube heat exchangers. AIM’s extensive experience and creative engineering in this specialized field assures our customers of the optimum selection options for their applications. AIM was created and has continued to grow because of our customers’ needs for fast estimating service and on-time delivery of competitively priced quality products. We have earned a strong reputation by taking an active role in tayloring our products to our customer’s applications, and providing customer oriented service throughout the order placement and handling process.

Application & Design Engineering:

AIM’s policy is to provide rapid response on all inquiries. Utilizing current releases of Aspentech Thermal Rating & Design programs, our application engineers review specifications, and offer multiple selections in the proposal stages to assure the most economical heat exchanger to fit the application. AIM can provide preliminary outline drawings within 1-2 days of request, assisting our customers in preparing their piping layouts. Our Design & Drafting personnel provide timely submittal of all required approval documents, including CAD Outline Drawings; TEMA Specification Sheets; ASME Code Calculations; ASME Certified Weld Procedures/Procedure Qualification Records; NDE Procedures; etc.

AIM has a modern 30,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Orchard Park, New York, with state of the art CNC drilling/ machining centers, lathes and boring mills to maintain close tolerances and consistent quality. AIM is ASME certified in GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW and SAW welding procedures for carbon steel; stainless steels; 90/10 Cu/Ni; 70/30 Cu/Ni; monel; and titanium.
